Now there are even better ways to use your funds but keep them in a wallet so your funds grow with BTC instead of just sitting on the same USD value.
I have been asked this question (so, you have Bitcoin, how do you spend it in the real world) a number of times and I would like to share my experience with a company called Cryptopay, they are a card company like Visa and MasterCard and they offer a prepaid card similar to Visa and MasterCard but you essentially load it up with Bitcoin and it is then converted to your native currency automatically when making a purchase anywhere Visa and MasterCard and they have a small fee for making purchases using the card.
So, in a nut shell, because I now have this card, if someone asks me where I can spend my BTC, I can now say, anywhere in the world where Visa and MasterCard are accepted (Pretty much everywhere)
This is an awesome gap being bridged in my opinion and as soon as people realize they can start using their BTC to pay for a morning coffee or gas for their cars and everything in between, things will rapidly take off.
