DigiPulse is a subscription based SaaS platform that allows one to encrypt digital assets to be passed down automatically to their rightful heirs. While the assets are digital the contents could also contain access to physical contents as well such as a locker combination alongside various passwords, passphrases, and private keys up to 1GB in size.
Do we really need a service like this?
Without question. The birth and growth of cryptocurrencies has created an unprecedented amount of wealth transfer and this is where digital inheritance comes into play. Before DigiPulse was created if you passed on your digital assets would die with you. That is no longer the case with DigiPulse.
How does it all work?
One simply signs up for the service.
- create a vault or vaults for multiple inheritors
- drag and drop files into the vault
- fill out the inheritors information
- set the inactivity time frame
- decide how you want to pay (as you go or in advance)
- (optional) 3rd party services integration to keep track of inactivity
While DigiPulse will have manual inactivity reset options such as using the desktop/smartphone app and manual interaction with the information storage on the vault. There is a much simpler way and that is with the integration of 3rd party services such as Facebook, Twitter, Steam, Gmail etc. Through these 3rd parties that have open API's, DigiPulse can utilize and integrate them into their platform and it can track the user's activity without having the creator of the vault doing anything. Many of us utilize these apps multiple times a day and without even thinking about it the users activity is constantly resetting the inactivity timer and becoming a truly set it and forget it application.
How is the token utilized?
DGPT is the publicly traded/available usage token used to pay for using the service. (Pay as you go/Pay in advance)
DGPS is the non-traded token only used as an identifier in the smart contract to users who hold more than 10k DGPT
DGPT will also used as a reward to storage providers who provide the storage space for these "smart vaults". They will receive 50% of what DigiPulse receives as a service in DGPT.
DGPS is for users who hold 10k+ DGPT and will receive 75% of the 50% payout in ETH as part of a profit sharing model.
How are my digital assets kept safe?
The DigiPulse blockchain is based on the open source protocol of Storj which itself is a distributed cloud storage service. In essence, files in your "smart vault" will be clipped into pieces, encrypted, and stored all over the world wherever the storage providers for DGPT are. No one will have access to it because only you have the key. You can take security one step further by encrypted your files before placing them into the "smart vault" but this requires the user to leave the keys to decrypt the file(s) in a more traditional will.
Current state of DigiPulse
Beta! A public beta was just released a little over a week ago and its simplicity was a big plus. I went through the process of setting up my own vault, uploaded a file into the vault, and did a test send to experience what an inheritor will go through and it was all very seamless. I received an email stating someone has left you digital valuables and after answering some personal information I was able to download the file that was in the vault. Ease of use will lead to mass adoption, and DigiPulse is on the right track. Currently trading on Cryptopia, EtherDelta, & ForkDelta. With just recently having announced an upcoming coin listing on the upcoming exchange Upcoin.com
