Did you ever think about workflow in the future? How we will coordinate with each other in the next ten years? With so many new technologies that change so fast. Do we need offices for the work? Do we need fixed work time? How to pay to your workers to motivate them the most and make the business more effective?
BBOS which you can decode as BlackBox Operating System poses itself as “the future of work” with their token-based and blockchain-powered business platform to manage distributed entities, their collectives, and projects. The project’s vision is to empower companies to work more effectively and help them get rid of duplicate, error-prone workflows, boost cooperation, and simply harness the potential of the distributed technology and AI.
Don’t you understand? Me too. Let’s try to figure this out together. As usual, in the simplest terms possible.
What are They Doing?
The core of their philosophy is an idea to solve the age-old inefficiencies of capitalism. Most people, when coming to their work day by day and performing the same tasks for many years, feel utterly underestimated and do not use all their potential at a job place. Instead, many workers start realizing that building a career and accumulating material values to be used at senior ages is an outdated model of work. The BlackBox developers are going to create a world that would be free of socioeconomic factors where every worker would be empowered to implement their own plans and reach life goals. In a word, the project aims to provide everyone with a better way to work.
Focused on the interoperability between participating cooperatives each preserving its own governance and structure, BBOS allows workers to determine their preferences, develop an individual schedule of work, and make their contribution to the project only when they can ensure its highest value. There will be a reputation system on the platform, too, that will be realized through the consensus reviewing (voting) or through the Proof-of-Value protocol.
How Will the Platform Work?
The BlackBox Foundation is here to create a next-gen business infrastructure that will provide workers with wide opportunities in the future. It is not just about creating a gig economy but producing a unique ecosystem revolving around a common good concept.
All the projects submitted to the platform will be distributed among competent workers who will be selected according to the specific criteria (including their reputation score) to ensure a perfect match for the task. Once workers complete what they were assigned to do, they will be paid with BBOS tokens, which can be easily converted into fiat.
About 80% of project revenues will be distributed among its participants and contributors, while the remaining 20% will be transferred to the general fund to cover the expenditures of all the project participants including sales, licensing, legal issues, expert feedback, etc.
Members here are a combination of traditional organizations, self-organized groups, and persons who are interested in working in the BLACKBOX NETWORK. They are selected based on the needs of the organization ranging from skills such as robotics, IoT, design, marketing, and information architecture.
Through their operating unit BLACKBOX AI (Artificial Intelligence), the platform will serve customers across multiple sectors from ideation to implementation of AI, machine learning, and the Blockchain. BLACKBOX AI helps corporate teams understand and implement next-gen technologies to solve today’s business problems.
Token Economy
So, BBOS is a decentralized business platform to manage the future of work, empowering next-generation workers and increasing human value. The project wants to create a global network with better opportunities for work. Thanks to the Artificial Intelligence and a broad network of collectives, BBOS will help workers achieve new heights regardless of their background, experience, location, skills, and social-economic factors.
The ecosystem will be supported by the BBOS utility, ERC-20-standard token. Its use cases look like the following:
- Token holders will have a right to review proposals in the network.
- Tokens will be necessary to incentivize participants’ behavior.
- It will be a payment unit between projects, workers, and token holders.
Their pre-sale is currently live and will last until September, 27 or when the $3 million cap is reached. If you are interested in taking part, you can register for the whitelist here. A token price is about $0.16; investors from China and the USA are not allowed to participate. If you contribute more than 5 ETH, you will qualify for a bonus.
Bottom Line
BlackBox Foundation aspires to create the future of work and reverse the antiquated principles of capitalism. Their goal is to build the Blackbox Operating System – a platform to manage distributed organizations, commands, and projects on the blockchain. The mission of it is to revolutionize the model of how the business is run, values are determined, and the fulfilled job is compensated.
Isn’t it too difficult for a common man’s comprehension? I think it is. You may not share my opinion, but I regard BlackBox as the most unclear crypto startup ever. There are no practical benefits for a casual worker mentioned in their documents, no practical uses as well. Their roadmap has neither concrete data nor well-defined development strategy. Too abstract to be real. However, the project managed to attract the best minds from Apple, PayPal, Disney, Google, Intel, and other iconic corporations – and this is promising.

If they really bring it to life, then I will gladly take the opportunity to use this system in practice. As described in the article, it seems that, perhaps, BlackBox will be able to fundamentally change the principle of labor order. And this is interesting.
The new economic ecosystem, the mass of opportunities and the alleviation of labor - and do you really believe that this utopian “invention” will be used? In our world are working only those things, that only brings profit and benefit to the “strongest” of this world.
I am always interested in similar developments, and I believe that I will see their real work, where ordinary people use such opportunities in practice. Go ahead, BlackBox team! Such ideas must be supported, and not only with words! I wish you success.
