What is a faucet?
For those of you who do not know, a faucet is a website that will give you a small amount of cryptocurrency in exchange for visiting their website. They are typically funded by advertisements however can also be funded with pool fees or other external activities. Usually a faucet will require you to wait a period of time between claims ranging from 5 minutes to a full day and will usually only pay out once a minimum amount of crypto has been claimed. Faucets exist for most cryptocurrencies, although it is worth mentioning that some currencies are more worthwhile than others, a bytecoin faucet may not be all that rewarding, for example.
Faucets won't make you rich!
Now we all know that cryptocurrency faucets don't earn you much, nobody is quitting their jobs and buying Lambos because they spent some time on a faucet, however that isn't the point. I feel that crypto faucets are there just for fun. There is a strange satisfaction clicking on the button and getting some crypto in return. I am fully prepared to admit it is a mild addiction. I suppose you could say every little helps.
Which faucets are best?
Well, in my opinion the best faucets are the moon faucets, they come in three flavours, Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin. The thing that makes Moon faucet so great is the flexibility, you don't have to keep collecting every 5 minutes because the amount of currency you can claim goes up as time goes on, meaning you can only collect once a day if you want. Another good thing that I value is you don't need to sign up or give any personal details. all you do is type in your wallet address and you are good to go. If you fancy trying it out, here are the links below:
Moon Bitcoin
Moon Dogecoin
Moon Litecoin
Sadly, the good folks who created these faucets only do those three currencies. If we want other popular currencies we have to go elsewhere. Here are some of the faucets I use for other currencies:
Ethereum Faucet option 1 is a roulette style faucet. You could win big or small. Can claim every 5 mins.
Ethereum Faucet option 2 is similar to the first option, only this one has a 1 hour wait time instead of 5 minutes.
Dash Faucet is similar to the faucet above but for dash.
Zcash Faucet is similar to the faucet above but for zcash.
FULL DISCLOSURE: these are my referral links, it doesn't cost you anything so don't worry, i just get a little reward should you decide to try these faucets.
If you have any questions on faucets or cryptocurrencies in general, please do not hesitate to ask!

I noticed that RSK has a faucet. Does this mean that they will eventually launch a currency?
I love faucets. it might not be much money they give you at first , but you can turn it into much more . I have actually cashed out over $100 from a faucet 2 times!! I wont even promote the site , that way you guys know im not just advertising for the affiliate benefits
