What Signatum is and How to Mine it!

What is Signatum (SIGT)?

This is a coin that all reminds us of the good days or mining, when there was no premine, ICOs or major bounties involved, giving people or companies an unfair advantage. This coin gets back to the basic and removes all of that. This is 100% a GPU mining coin based on a completely new algorithm. Personally I have been hoping a coin like this would hit the market again, as it has been a while since we have seen this. It is PoW for the first 100,000 blocks, after which it will switch over to full PoS. This should take approximately 100 days. In total there will ever only be a maximum of 137,500,000 produced.

What is the Signatum Algorithm based on?

Signatum (SIGT) is based on four different algorithms; Skein, Cubehash, Fugue and Gost. The new algorithm is named SkunkHash Raptor and is fairly intense.

The reward structure is quite intense. I managed to solo-mine the first our and get at least 10 blocked completed in that time. We are still only at block 1855, so there is plenty of time left still to get a good payout – although at this point, pool mining is probably better than solo mining. Block reward structure is highlighted here below.

Reward Structure

Blocks 0-30,000: 2500 Coins
Blocks 30,001-60,000: 1250 Coins
Blocks 60,001-100,000: 625 Coins

What can I mine Signatum with and how?

Solo mining was extremely effective during the first two hours it was launched as the difficulty rate was very low and there was no mining pools out yet. However, as difficulty rate has now increased, as more miners have jumped on board, this has eliminated the possibility to solo mine this coin or even using your CPU. If you are interesting in mining this coin, you therefore have to use your graphics cards - which are still highly effective I might add!

CCminer now supports Nvidia cards, meaning you actually get the most effective hashrates from GTX1070s and GTX 1080s (including of course GTX1080ti).

An Rx 480 8gb will give you 15-18 Mh/s. The same for Rx 480 4gb and Rx 470 4gb and 8gb models.

GTX 1080ti = 28 Mh/s
GTX 1080 = 24 Mh/s
GTX 1070 = 20 Mh/s

How about RX570?

I just bought myself some Signatum on Cryptopia. Now i'm mining with nicehash, but maybe i will switch to Signatum. I'm mining with GTX 1080.

Wow, excellant article and blog about a very very very good privacy coin. They already have their beta marketplace opened up but have not opened up the escrow part yet until the next marketplace update. Can't believe you are not making any money here on steemit from posting this article. OH well hang in there and again great information. I have all 470's and 480's and i am getting between 17 to 18mh/s unmodded. The skunk hash algorythym actually uses less watts and the gpu's run way more stable than mining with any ETH based algo coin.
