Hello fellow steemians,
I would like to share with you my experience of how I see bitcoin increased awareness from the circle of my close friends and co-workers. I started buying bitcoin at around 300USD level sometimes in November 2015. It was a pain since it really took me around two months to figure out how to credit my account since the majority of the banks would not transfer my funds to the exchanges. I gave up for a bit and then finally found the bank that did my transfer. During that time I was researching more information and learning more about blockchain, bitcoin and the potential it has for the future. Not long afterwards I started talking to my close friends telling them about my investment and the potential it has. Some people found it fascinating and were considering to invest but never did. With many of them I was joking that they will start buying when in hits 1000 USD or higher. Now, monhts later and 3000 USD higher the same people are contacting me interested in getting in since they probably heard it somewhere in the news that BTC is going through the roof. What are they going to do? I know what, nothing, they will wait until BTC hits 10000 USD and then maybe buy 1 BTC or its fraction. Overall I can tell you that the BTC and crypto awareness is still minimum since 99% of people I talk to about cryptocurrencies or bitcoin in particular have no idea what it is all about. What is the bottom line here? We are very early in the space with a huge upside potential. The estimate is that only 0.3 percent of the population is somehow involved in crypto. What a bright days ahead of us. Have fun and steem on!

Steem is a great coin with steemit being an amazing project that has so much upside potential. The returns you can make in the future might be unheard of! Good luck and steem on:).....
Huge fan of Bitcoin, like you, I myself didn't get in for a long time cause it seemed impossible, plus I originally thought I could only buy bitcoin on the deepweb. Up until last year :P. Everyone around me is starting to ask me questions and are wanting to get in on it.
BTC was expensive when it was 300USD, it was expensive at 600USD as well as 1800USD, the same it is expensive at today's levels. It will always be expensive as it only will grow:).... good times to be in! Good luck my friend....

The entire world population did with the exception of Satoshi Nakamoto! Bitcon has unlimited growth potential and the price will only grow unless something bad happens... nobody knows but fundamentals are looking very strong!

People are really starting to wake up to Bitcoin.
There is just a little buzz, vast majority still have no clue about Bitcoin or any other crypto..... it is going to take several more years... Great times ahead and even better to be ahead of the crowd! Good luck and steem on.
