I heard that the majority of the Bitcoins are mined in China. I am sure the Chinese government is aware of this, but none of these mining farms have been closed down as far as I have heard . I think China is just trying to find a way to regulate the market, and I think that is good. The government of China plans many years ahead, I am quite sure that crypto currency will play a big role for them in the future. Also crypto currency is definitely cryptonite to the world reserve currency, which I am sure the Chinese are willing to exploit.

it's true that China is the highest in terms of mining, but there is no official news of shutting them?
Also to note is that, if china stops mining, it's going to be easier to mine BTC. :P
I don't think mining in China is going to decrease, I heard even bigger plants are being built.
