I totally understand how much power that takes, but i dont understand why u think that matters? Lots of things take shit tons of energy but they wont cut power to everything just to spite bitcoin. Besides the government wont turn off energy, its way to dangerous.. maybe in some extreme case for a very short period of time, but not the entire world.
And people like me will never give up on bitcoin and i have alternative energy (off the grid). So no matter the pressure it will ultimately survive (as long as there is an internet at all). If they cut all energy the whole world will collapse not just the internet and at that point i dont need my bitcoin, just my guns and bullets.
Atleast thats how i see it..
