my name is Dave, I'm 25 years old, living in europe.
I want to tell you a little story about my experience and relationship with Bitcoins and also Altcoins, why they are saving my actual life-situation and why I want to say THANKS!
Until 2 years ago, I tended to be a extroverted and curious person.
Adventures, making music, hackerspaces, travelling, meeting with friends, going to festivals... simply enjoying life was so easy and natural for me. I was a happy person, was active in political movements and participated on NGOs to help people in need.
But then, 2 years ago my whole life was turned upside down because I had an accident with my bike.
Now I'm sitting in my flat, still suffering from that accident, not able to do anything with anybody anymore.
It was february 2015 when I lost control of my bike. I was driving down a hill, left the road and the seat pushed against my back.
The pain was unbearable and lasted till the next day - so I went to the doctor. Sadly, he wasn't able to find anything so I was sent to the hospital. After 2 years of many CT/MR/X-Rays units, one operation and uncountable appointments, they just said:
"Mr. ***** Dave, I'm sorry to say but we can't help you. By now your incontinence is at an advanced state and we can't do anything. Just accept that it is how it is now." In 1 1/2 year, they couldn't find anything, didn't listen to me - thought I'm overstating. And now they found the problem and said it is already too late to do something?
I was never expecting that I'm sitting here, 2 years later, and nobody is able to help me. My whole life turned black since the accident.
I lost my job, I lost my girlfriend, I lost most of my friends, I lost trust to people and I lost a lot of my self-confidence.
The money I saved over time got spent for food and paying my flat. ...and then I got in financial trouble.
So 5 months ago I needed to ask my parents to borrow me some money. I'm happy that they supported me because I know they don't have much.
It would help me for 2 months, but then I will face the same problem again so I thought about investing in cryptocurrency.
I do not regret it :)
BTC and ETH was my first choice, then I spreaded it into more altcoins like NEM, Ripple, Viacoin, NXT, Stellar Lumens, Steem.
I have quadrupled my money (4000 EUR) since then and I know I am save for at least 6 months. It nearly brings me to tears while writing this... at least there is one thing I don't have to worry about right now. I can get food and pay my flat.
Cryptocurrency, and their awesome community is saving my life.
