RE: 6 reasons why Bitcoin can't be compared with the 'Tulip Mania'

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Bitcoin exists since 2009 and the price has seen many ups and downs.

Tulips were around long before the 6 month mania and the prices fluctuated with demand. So, that's not a good argument.

Sort:

The price of tulips was not in a bubble during this period. Only during the 6 month mania.
My point is that Bitcoin has survived at least two so called bubbles since 2009. The price may currently be in a bubble again. It could come down a lot, but I believe it will eventually go up again as we have seen in the past.

I think the critics us the comparison with Tulip Mania wrt the current value of Bitcoin, not the existence of Bitcoin. So, yeh, the comparison between Bitcoin and the Tulip maybe right. See also my other comments to your post to understand what I try to say.
