Something weird is going on, but maybe it is just a glitch
Yes, you are reading that right. World Coin Index has Litecoin as the #1 coin on their index.
Live Coin Watch and Cryptocurrency Market Capitalizations (Coin Market Cap) both still have BitCoin at the top.
There was a DDOS on Bitfinex exchange a few hours ago and people were still complaining about orders going through. I don't know if that is the reason for this glitch.
Keep an eye on it.

you have it based on 24Hr volume instead of total market cap
That explains a lot, but it doesn't explain why the volume of LTC transactions has suddenly spiked. Nor the value of said coinage.
Filtering doesn't change the Number Ranking value.
It was only a matter of time before people moved from gold to silver aka from bitcoin to litecoin.
No doubt. Its a way better platform. Bitcoin is slow and expensive. Litecoin is fast n cheap.
I have a feeling my FOMO of Today will almost look alike a repeat of this article.
