Leaving the main international airport of the Netherlands, you can now purchase a crypto currency. On June 20, Amsterdam Schiphol announced that it had installed a bitcoin-ATM in its building so that passengers could convert the euro into bitcoins and air.
The ATM is installed for a six-month trial period to assess the demand for such a service from passengers. According to the representatives of Schiphol, he became the first airport in Europe, offering travelers such a service.
Director of Schiphol for consumer goods and services Tanya Dick notes:
Our company is constantly looking for new ways to optimally service passengers. Bitcoin-ATM will help to provide them with useful services, making it easy to exchange euros for global crypto-currencies bitcoin and etherium. This can be useful in case you can not spend the euro in your homeland.
If you find yourself in this airport, you can find a bitcoin-ATM in the arrival hall No. 2 (you can get to it from departure halls 1 and 2 and from the shopping center Schiphol Plaza), and here's how it looks:
The ATM was installed in partnership with the Dutch company ByeleX Data Solutions BV, which provides corporate clients with the integration of crypto-currency payments.
It is also worth noting that Schiphol is not the first airport in the world to support digital currencies. So, in May, the outlets at the airport in Brisbane, Australia began to accept payment in crypto-currencies.
