I was reading through some articles on here and people were talking about industries being able to hedge Bitcoin in the near future. It hit me that it's not the fact that Bitcoin or crypto currency is inherently good or bad. The problem lies in the fact that people just hate change. I am just imagining in my head that this is what it was like when the government first introduced the paper bill instead of a gold or silver coin you could hold in your hand. As we look through our history it seems that there are endless examples of humans resisting technology like a mule with a bit in it's mouth being pulled forward against it's will. The animal has no idea where or why it is going but rather that it just doesn't want to because it is stuborn.
Historically humans resisted electricity, indoor plumbing, mechanical farm equipment , coffee, genetically altered food and even refrigeration because we are a scared finiky species. Still to this day people are holding steadfast against driverless cars. Why do we do this to ourselves? Will we always be this skeptical of everything? Will this be the ultimate downfall of our species doomed to have our flame slowly die out like a flame of a candle flickering in its death throws before falling into eternal night?
