Tired Of Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Diamond? Fork Your Own With Just A Few Clicks

It's very rare that I stumble upon a project with such a mix of tech and sarcasm like the Forkgen. Launched under the slogan "Fork it till you make it", this app - which is backed by some serious tech savviness AFAIK - will allow you to build your own Bitcoin fork.

After you went to the app page, just give your token a name, pick a fork block, set up a few parameters and, if you really want it to be successful, do a few incantations as well, then click Submit. This will generate the binaries (wallet and daemon) and you will also receive the source code of your newly forked Bitcoin token. All this for a meager 0.01 BTC, or $145 at the current price of Bitcoin.

The real Bitcoin, that is.

Also, if you do spend time on that site, make sure you check out the FAQ. There are some excellent gems in there, like this one:

Exchanges should be obligated to split and distribute all arbitrary fork coins despite the systems expense and security risk. Who are they to decide what makes one fork more legitimate than any other?

I laughed. :)

It's in the article.

The bitcoin currency will be flucating

Good grief. More talk of bubbles. Anyone sensible that's investing with Bitcoin is mining instead of buying. In the long term Bitcoin value is going to rise so you'll end up making a profit if you DO end up buying Bitcoin due to the way that Bitcoin is set up (there's only ever going to be 21 million Bitcoin in existence so with each new Bitcoin mined further Bitcoin become rarer, increasing it's value in the long term). The best way to mine is to buy hashpower from a server farm - it's basically buying hardware from a server farm in a mountain somewhere and forgetting about it. Some people are buying the hardware themselves and doing it but this way you have overheads such as electricity to pay. I've pre-ordered hashpower from a reputable server farm which is going to be mining at 2TH/s from 28th February next year.

Merry Christmas

@Resteemed+upvote Done ☺

Thanks for letting us know about this. It's actually quite funny and interesting. However, the BTC forks are still definitely coming.
