How to Mine BitCoin with your Laptop / Desktop?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

I am going to get straight to the point. You want to mine BitCoin (Crypto Currency) without investing in mining hardware and you want to know how to do it.

Well I am just going to tell you that!

There a lot of ways that you could get a part of this mining pie. You could pay to be part of a cloud based mining pool like Genesis mining (https://www.genesis-mining.com/) or you could use your own computer's computing power to mine. Even if you have decided to use your own computing to mine, you still have the option of downloading apps (https://minergate.com/) for your desktop / laptop to do the mining or to mine it directly using a web browser (https://coinpot.co/).

In this post, I am going to show you mining crypto currencies including BitCoins without having to download any apps directly from your web browser. The following steps will get you started on mining your own crypto currencies absolutely free of any cost.

  1. Click on the following link (https://coinpot.co/).

  2. You will arrive at the following page

  3. Click on 'Register' and enter login details into the simple form that appears

  4. You will receive a 'Confirmation Email' in your registered email ID. Click on the link provided to activate your CoinPot account.

  5. Now, login into your CoinPot Account and select the type of Crypto Coin that you would like to mine. At the moment, CoinPot allows you to mine the following five types of Crypto Currencies right from your browser. The coins are shown in the Dashboard screenshot shown below

  6. Click on the Type of Crypto Currency you want to start mining and it will show you buttons that will allow you to Deposit, Withdraw, Convert & Mine. Select the option to 'Mine'.

  7. A separate tab will open that displays the hashing power with an option to increase / decrease the amount of computing power that you want to allocate for Mining. If you are not using your computer, then allocate the maximum power by choosing accordingly. If you plan on using the computer while the mining happens in the background, then allocate low or medium processing power for mining so that you still have some computing power left for you to work on the computer by running other applications.

The mining screens that opens in the browser is shown below.
