Yes, I agree that we should keep the term wallet for a user's collection of addresses, but we shouldn't use the same term for the software. That's confusing. Let's call the software 'the Bitcoin client' or 'your Monero app' etc.

I completely agree. I've got a Bittrex account and a Coinbase account, and I transfer my crypto to my hardware wallet. My wallet can have a few different currencies, but I can have, say Bitcoin, in a number of accounts on different exchanges. Calling everything 'accounts' would be more confusing... and I think 'wallet' is a pretty descriptive term.
