I just read this article about how steemit is introducing people to Bitcoin. In my own experience this is true.I just downloaded my Bitcoin wallet yesterday, purchased some Bitcoin for the first time, and bought some steem. This goes to show that steemit gives an incentive to check out crypto currency.
