Update on Venezuelas Petro Cryptocurrency "El Petro"
Mining will be limited to government only, and premined. Does this even make it a cryptocurrency? Sounds like they just want ripple backed by physical assets. Which is fine, SLIGHTLY better than fiat. But- is this what we the crypto world are willing to accept? This is no better than fiat backed by government reserves of gold or other assets. The government still controls it all and can truly change their mind or do whatever they want. Too much power in my opinion. Sounded like a great concept on paper, but yet... Still, is just a government centralized shitcoin.
US Marshals service to auction off 3800 BTC
Earlier in the year they auctioned off approx 2,700 BTC. Worth 1.6m at the time, now that same amount is worth about 38M.
Now, they have a stack of 3800 BTC! Which they will auction off in stacks of 100, 500, and one last lump sum of 818 BTC.

Where's Bulgaria's 200,000 siezed BTC's?
Remember articles claiming Bulgaria siezed enough bitcoins to clear 1/5 of it's debt? Now, even though specific numbers were previously released.. They are taking the stance that "no bitcoin were ever confiscated" could this be they don't want anyone looking for their BTC?
I think it's odd that officials released SPECIFIC numbers, yet.. Now, claim nothing.
