I write this story to you from a Starbucks located in Makati, Manila while I am waiting for my flight to Kuwait.
Yesterday me and my girlfriend checked in to a private Condo Suite in Makati and we didn't know that there is the only Bitcoin ATM of the Philippines :D
So we were very surprised at our arrival and my first thought was to change my worthless Pesos into new Bitcoins :)
The Bitcoin ATM is located at Sunette Towers (Makati Ave, Makati, 1210 Metro Manila) directly in the lobby.
The machine is in very good condition and a lot of people are using it. Yesterday evening it was fully crowded with Filipinos :D
There are some fees you have to pay if you use this Bitcoin ATM: Buy: 12.0%, Sell: 0.7%
The place is very safe and a security guard is in the lobby to protect you ;)
The procedure to buy Bitcoins is very easy and you can buy nearly anonymous your Bitcoin. At this machine you need to enter you mobile phone number to buy them. So it's recommended to buy you a prepaid card at the next petrol station for a few Pesos ;)
You can buy the prepaid sim card on Philippines completely anonymous without disclose your name. We used Globe card for purchasing anonymously our Bitcoin.
Next time if you are in Manila come here to Sunette Tower to change your Pesos into Bitcoin or vice versa :)

Ouch! The buy fees are steep... but it looks to be an alright place to convert BTC if you need local currency for shopping in Makati
Yes you can also withdraw Pesos with this ATM and if you holiday are over you can get Bitcoin instead of taking Pesos home :)
In my last days in PH the last time I visited Manila, I converted my pesos into the digestible currency of Red Horse before I left =D

@goodbyematrix Great info! And helpful tips on keeping everything anonymous (re the pre-paid phone). Did you get any sense of how people there are using the Bitcoins? Mainly for money transfer or to buy goods/services?
