I know what most of you are thinking right now, "What the **** is going on with the presidential election in the U.S. right now?". Unfortunately, we don't have a great answer for that. What we can offer, is a reason for us to go out and vote for a certain candidate, a pro-Bitcoin candidate.

Gary Johnson???

Yes, you read that correctly.

Here's Why.

Out of all the candidates in the 2016 election, Gary Johnson is the only candidate that supports Bitcoin being adopted as a legal government currency. Yes... you read that right, Bitcoin could potentially become a legal government currency even sooner than most of us believed. When asked about his stance on Bitcoin, Gary Johnson had this to say,

"Yes, but it should not replace our national treasury-backed currency."

The Implications

Although Bitcoin has soared to heights well over $1,000, the election this year could provide a much more sustainable boost to Bitcoins presence within the U.S. economy.

In an article written by William Suberg, he wrote that:

"The potential for the Libertarians to make gains in 2016 naturally bodes well for Bitcoin."

Johnson is even taking donations of Bitcoin for his presidential campaign at the moment. This is great news for Bitcoin holders, as Johnson's presidency (if elected) could push Bitcoin well over it's high mark back in 2013.

Closing Statement

The fact that Johnson openly supports Bitcoins presence, as a legal government currency, is gold for all Bitcoin investors. For this to be a topic during the presidential race, it shows that Bitcoin is truly breaking ground into government systems, and we could potentially see some astounding changes with the end result of this election.

So... when you go to the polls this election, don't vote for someone, vote for something... #voteforbitcoin
