There’s a number of projects at play that attempt to carry blockchain technology into real-world utility. For this market to sustain the growth it had witnessed in 2017, real-world utility needs to be demonstrated. While cryptocurrencies, the prime fruit of the blockchain, are, as per name, currencies, they see little velocity in use.
This is what TAP is going to address.
Cryptocurrencies face limited spending and are primarily utilized for just speculative trading. An upcoming application taps into the order books of several exchanges and a payment network. The result is that the TAP application allows users to securely transact their coin holding through the tapped exchanges, and then funneling the acquired fiat from the sale to pay for any transaction at a typical point-of-sale system.
This is just a base introduction to TAP.
I’ll be covering this project more deeply in a future post.

That's true, not many merchants accept the cryptocurrency, and TAP is a very good idea to mobilize the currency, I have heard that in some countries the steem is used as payment in some businesses, here in Venezuela, unfortunately there is no such means, I hope improve everything

This is really interesting! I have just started looking into cryptocurrencies and have always wondered about how we will use it for actual purchases in the future. I agree with your predictions that the volatility risk will be lower over time and I think STEEM can become one of the big players in the future.

All we need is a crypto currency platform where every earn and spend with ease.
I am from Venezuela and there is a company called "Traki" that already accepts cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, without a doubt, it is a good advance.
That is quite impressive. Tight situations force people to innovate.
Though, the key with TAP is that you get the best available bids!

TAP cards can be used as a day-to-day payment solution but I think this will increase the selling of crypto currencies and will sink it's prices. I don't think this can bear a positive impact on the market.

Undoubtedly, businesses should accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, I know that there is not much left for that.
Trade can not be left behind and for that there are programs that facilitate the integration of cryptocurrencies.
there are so many of these cyrptocard payment systems but none of them has made real waves yet also supporting various currencies can become tricky but it is nice to be able to hold crypto that can be used practically. Ive been using hotwallets to do it now but a card would make the process a lot easier and more user friendly
Crypto is well going on it´s way to the "real world". There a lot of airports and main places in the world that already accept and very easily transact BTC.
Personally I haven't read much about TAP project, but it doesn't seem to have much potential, the idea is there and we all want it to actually happen, but it's missing some basic fundamentals.
