Hello haejin,
If I buy EOS on any exchange today will it be a converted to a EC20 token?
Are there two EOS's coins?
Anything Dan is involved in is Golden!
thanks.

You are buying the EC20 token. The issue is that the EOS website states:
'The EOS Tokens do not have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features, express or implied, including, without limitation, any uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features on the EOS Platform.'
https://eos.io/faq.html
However, I believe that the EC20 tokens get converted at the end of the crowd sale (June 2018) into a new token on the EOS chain (or similar). Its not clear though.
Hi, and thanks.
So, if I understand correctly if I believe in EOS, @dantheman / @jamesc and @modprobe and the rest of the team I am safe to buy EOS on Bittrex or where ever its sold?
Not sure what you mean by safe. I think in June next year the EC20 tokens will be converted to something else in the EOS environment but can’t be sure if this is correct, what they will be converted for and if this will have any value. You’ll have to make those decisions yourself.
No shit I have to make my own decisions???? dah.
A person asks for information or direction from others to help make those decisions.
So, If you can't answer the question then don't answer without something positive to say. Thanks.
You asked if it was safe! No one can give you assurances it’s safe! I told you what was published. Perhaps you should do your own research in future instead of asking strangers on a forum where you should invest your money!
As they clearly state, EOS tokens have no value with no intention of having value in the future. If that’s ‘safe’ then fill your boots. As I said, you’ll have to decide what they mean by ‘no value’.
Safe, safer, less risk... its all about reducing RISK! you must be young or new to trading?????????????????????
You say: "Perhaps you should do your own research in future instead of asking strangers on a forum where you should invest your money!"
Following Haejin and others work is doing part of my research.
Looks like thats what your doing... seeing you here on haejin's Blog.
You thinking, EOS tokens have no value with no intention of having value in the future will cost you dearly.
I know the creators and they would never fuck me or anyone over.
So go ahead and don't buy.
I will fill my boots. thanks
Well in that case why are you asking if its 'safe'? I never said it wont have value in the future., That's what block one state on their web site, if you had bothered to look it up:
'The EOS Tokens do not have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features, express or implied, including, without limitation, any uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features on the EOS Platform.'
https://eos.io/faq.html
There you go. Perfectly safe. Nothing to worry about.
I'm done here.
I don't know. But I can't see how not. It would be considered as fraud and ruin the rep. Yep! Dan Larimer is NOT a thief nor a crook! I try hard to take his example of working for the good of humanity and find a way to give back.
So there is about to be two EOS's ?
I am confused..
the EOS coin now is not the actual eos coin later when the network is running.
the current eos will be converted to new eos coin on the actual network later
thanks tt-dogg!
Do you happen to know what the conversion rate will be? from the current EOS to the new EOS coin ?
thanks.
I do think we will know till the eos ico is over next year. Just remember to claim it before he deadline before the real eos chain launches.
Hi tt-dogg,
Can you please explain or provide me a post explaining; Claim your EOS before the deadline, before the real EOS chain launches
I did hear something about this a ways back, so what ever info you can share will be appreciated.
The eos tokens currently aren't the real eos tokens. These are eth erc20 tokens. There are instructions on how to use the erc20 tokens and claim the official eos coins. Here is a link below.
Basically the eos coins being traded and sold currently will be used for a 1 to 1 trade for the real eos coin in the future.
So if you buy eos coins right now. Follow the instructions before the deadline and before he eos actual network goes live.
best of luck.
