I don't think it will become that big of a day. Guess I'm cynical. Everyone knows they should be holding their coins in their own wallets so if they were unwilling to do so before why now?
FYI: I'm not saying they should keep coins on their wallets. I'm saying if people didn't do it out of protecting their funds I doubt they would do it to make a statement.
This is a great idea cause if people do not know how to get their coins to wallets where they have their own keys a lot of articles will be created for them.
I don't agree that you can assume that "everyone" knows the same thing that you do. There are a lot of people that don't realize why keeping their coins on an exchange is dangerous.
I am not going to give investment advice. The idea of Proof of Keys is to learn how to store your coins on your own wallets. Not to trade the coins you do own just to store them on a wallet you already have. Consider getting a wallet that is compatible with Litecoin.

I only keep a small % on exchanges and most of that is exchange tokens, or something I am speculating on that doesn't yet fit into (ie incompatible with) my wallet.

Trezor and ledger will love this day. Maybe they will lobby to have a national crypto day.

Only do this if those coins are Steem. Do not send coins to wallets that aren't compatible!
