New Money vs Old Money, What Side are You On?

The Power of the Blockchain.

"Blockchain is a vast, global distributed ledger of database running on millions of devices and open to anyone, where not just information but anything of value - money, but also titles, deeds, identities, even voted - can be moved, stored and managed securely and privately.

Trust is established through mass collaboration and clever code rather than by powerful intermediaries like governments and banks."

There is a War Going on Between the Old Money and the New Money.

Every day we wake up we have a decision to make. What system are we going to support? My household has chosen New Money. That includes working for Crypto Currency, using Crypto Currency for our expenses and sharing the news of this New Money.

We really have no use for Old Money. Going into a bank is like stepping back into time. Spending time at a government institution is a great reminder of inefficiency. We are in the process of buying a car and having to deal with all of these Old Money institutions is literally making me a little nuts. I can foresee blockchain companies coming in and taking over most of the mindless jobs using math and coding. We are not too far away from this reality.

Congratulations to all of you who are using crypto currencies in your every day life or have just gotten started using blockchain social media like Steemit. You are literally part of the New Money Revolution!

If you get some time, go to my page and read "What's my Story...???" Thanks, Pocket Change...

New money is obviously a lot more volatile right now but I believe it is the future. I still feel safer with old money for the time being

Per this YouTuber, every investment asset is being repriced in terms of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and the monetary authorities are letting the US Dollar fall, since it represents OLD MONEY that is being phased out.

i like new money like BTC,STEEM,DASH.

Good article ... TDV?

Am I a member of TDV? Yes

yea me too...big fan of JB....what do you think abt his alt coin recommendation on SYS?

made a mistake of buying STR instead of SYS for my first attempt at Poloniex....and my portfolio for STR is up 60% and SYS is down ard 5%....

guess we have to learn more from our mistakes.....:))

We need to move away from banks. We have too much debt to support the US dollar. I favor metals as in silver and gold as they are God's money are are truly the oldest system. Bitcoin and crypto is good however I do not support this completely as I fear it will lead to a one world currency. With a one world currency then they will move to a one world government and one world religion which was their plan all along. Also digital can be unavailable if the grid goes out or the internet goes down. It can easily be deleted. Silver and gold are your best and first options.

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.

I see that you live in Panama. Is bitcoin well known there? Is it widely accepted there?

It is available all over the country at small kiosks. You can use a Bitcoin debit card for all transactions.

That is interesting, so you can use it for almost all your daily transactions?

Old Money and New Money can be broken down to free money and controlled money.

That is why blockchain based currency is so beautiful! :) HOLD FOR THE LONG RUN!

Hows panama for americans these days? In a Sh*t hits the fan moment do you think it will be a welcoming environment for gringos? Lastly, could you post about the differences, popularity, and experiences of using crypto in latin america?

I am interested in people trying to participate in both sides, I am one to buy crptocurrency while building a fully automated hydroponic water filtration system. Who's coming with me?

Crypto-riche.

Sometimes no-brainers are the easiest to miss and revolutions sometimes take years to fully come to fruition. I'm with you and the new, lets make it happen!

Excellent post very informative!
Thanks and praise 🙏🏻

Welcome the future whit opened arms!

I'm 'old money' in the sense that, ultimately, I want wealth that is tangible (gold, silver, property, etc). But as a convenient means of exchange, the new money of crypto is a no-brainer.

My only concern is what the government/power elites might do to co-opt or undermine it.

I think you're right about cryptomoney.
Now we just need an easier way to spend it.

Very new to this. Do not have much old money... so new money sounds good to me.

I do believe that a new system is inevitable and believe that cryto currency will be a safe and effective way to transact in the near future. That is why I am here on STEEMIT. That being said, I do still believe holding hard assets such as silver and gold are still an important part of well balanced wealth retention portfolio. I am a novice and do not really invest in the the stock market other than my 401k and if someone like me (who is relatively clueless) can see the value in crypto currencies, then I am sure it will remain viable for years to come. My only worry is what were to happen if the internet goes black or if there were some way for cryptos to be manipulated. Other than those two doubts, I am fine with taking my money out of the fiat system and transacting with new and innovative currency choices. Time will tell, but I don't think there is any going back at this point. My 401k has me very worried.

very nice article, new money i feel its safe!

Good article, just learning about blockchains now - hope I'm not too late to the game lol...any other top articles that you can recommend on steem?

We need to move away from central banking and government-controlled fiat currency.
We need to move to physical-backed currency, as well as government-free or non-governmental currency.
Cryptocurrencies fulfill the ability to cross borders without surrendering all of our value to the whims of customs officials. Precious metals allow "store of value" requirements. It is unknown if cryptocurrencies will fulfill the same requirement over long amounts of time. Are we seeing a change here, similar to the change between the printed book and the Internet?

We're in the process of setting up our gallery/store to take Bitcoin as payment. In time, we may create a Steemit account for the business, too and take payment in Steem and SBD. I like the idea of having the "Bitcoin Accepted Here" sticker on the door, purely as a promotional/awareness generation tool.

Cryptocurrencies are going to replace a lot of the systems set in place and are revolutionizing business. Here's the link to my recent post about why I think the value of cryptocurrencies will continue to build:

New money for sure!

I just found you. I moved to Panama from Australia last year. I would love to know if there are any meetups or anything.
