I personally believe we could still see $8500 before the Bitcoin rocket turns back to the moon but I hope I am wrong and Charlie is right.
What Am I Doing?
I saw that $VEN (VeChain) one of my favorite projects was on sale so I backed up the truck. I sold the majority of my liquid altcoins in order to do that. These are the coins that I had sitting on exchanges. I consolidated everything into one altcoin that I think will do very well in the recovery and that is $VEN.
Vechain is going through a rebranding process and will be focusing on China. If you are in the Crypto Coin Trader group on Facebook you would know all about it. There is also a womens only Crypto Coin Trader Women's Group.

Anything to do with China+blockchain should be HODLed very, very hard.
China has it's own domestic equivalent of every Western tech company, and blockchain-based networks will be no exception. I believe that China cracked down on bitcoin to make room for it's own homegrown projects like Neo and Vechain.
Who knows what will happen, but buying coins you believe in (like VEN) is never a bad idea
I think things might go a little lower. It would be nice though to try pick more coins at lower prices.

That's so funny Randy I did a VERY SIMILAR move yesterday, liquidating most of my shitcoins and dramatically increasing VEN position. Now I feel even better about it seeing that you are doing the same! Thanks bro!

I don't wanna sound like a copy cat, but that was exactly my comparison in the crypto world. VEN is the new NEO :D
vechain is my favourite also...its good time to buy...it goes upto 6.5 $ few days before...vechain has tie up with many big companies.
The market is going below $10,000. If it goes down a little more it might go down to $8000 or so. We might have more buying opportunity. So spending only 50% of my stash. Bought some Ven, will try to get hold of some more if it dips again.
I think the dipp is over now.. BTC to 20k$ Go go go
I own VeChain coins and I believe that it has a great potential in the future.
Most people probably have never heard of VeChain before because it’s more popular in the Chinese market.
First, Vechain can be used in real life for luxury goods, liquor, etc. It can be used to counterfeit fake products and not just a “currency” or fast payment type of product. It has been used in China for Wine products although it’s still in its early stage of adoption.
Randy, so you recommend buying that VeChain coin?

A question hilarski:
Since every coin in the market is down by about the same rate, how is it different now that the whole market is cheap when you use other cryptos and not fiat?

You are right, mathematically it is about equal but VEN only dropped about 8% yesterday unlike 20% or more for the others. Today Ven corrected and I saw my opportunity.
Big investor of Vechain, I hope you both are right. I don't want to see another long bear market, I'm not ready for that.

Upvoted and just an FYI I fully agree Charlie's opinion, this isn't done yet. I don't think the correction is quite over yet and although we might see a bit of sideways action over the next week or so I think after that we are going to dip and test the $7800-$8300 levels as a true bottom (around Jan 24-25). After this I expect it to rebound back towards the 10k level for a bit before breaking above it towards the end of Jan and settling in a 10k-12k channel for a week or 2 before breaking through towards the ~13800 mark in mid/late feb. The good news is IF this does happen once it passes the 13800 mark it will likely become a new floor allowing the price to finally get some consistent upward action again starting in late Feb or early March.

I just opened my garage to get my crypto truck out, I am planning to load it with more Vechain coins. I am coming.

I agree with you @bridgetoby. It has the most partnerships compared to other coins, and they are reputable companies. VeChain also works with the local Chinese government, they have partnered uo with the Gui’An district.
Now imagine if other provinces in China start adopting VeChain. Imagine if the Wine industry all over China alone adopts this blockchain technology.
The price is pretty cheap for this coin now. For a technology that has real life functionality and partnerships everywhere, it should have been more expensive because it has never been mentioned by the western media.
It would be nice though to try pick more coins at lower prices.

i read your post on new year, you predict the price of vechain about 250$ at the end of this year . So i bought 400 coins at price $ 2.5 and this was a good investment. But now price is down so i'm thinking to buy some more.

I haven't checked out VeChain but thanks for the head-ups. I'm thinking too how to re-shuffel my coins. Some need to leave my wallet and other might be stacked. }
