Populous also known as PPT, functioning as a P2P invoice finance platform, globalizing in a market that is currently localized and a limited market sector. Already there are 40,000 business using the platform in the UK alone.
Populous has a market cap of nearly $900,000,000 USD, 37,004027 PPT in circulation, and a total supply of 53,252,246PPT. According to Coinmarketcap this coin is available on Binance, Kraken and a number of other exchanges with the ticker PPT, not listed is Forkdelta where PPT is listed as PXBRL.
Populous is built upon the blockchain's distributed ledger technology which utilizes a form of funding known as Invoice Financing.
What is Invoice Financing you might ask?
Well, it is a type of funding which instantaneously unlocks funds that are tied up in outstanding sales invoices. It allows business owners to allow invoice buyers to purchase invoices at a discounted amount to allow their cash to be unlocked faster. As soon as the invoices are paid by the debtor who possesses the invoice then the buyer receives the previously agreed price.
Check out this video by Crypto Tips explaining the process in a little more detail as she covers their site and social avenues. While a few months old now it is a great overview.
Populous has a unique feature that connects business owners with the invoice buyers globally.
They achieve this by utilizing smart contracts which are run "autonomously" eliminating human error and third parties. Populous also leverages the security and speed of the blockchain via XBRL data, they use the Altman Z-score formula, stable flat pegged tokens, and full transparency. Populous aims to disrupt the traditional invoice finance system by removing the necessity for a third party or a financial backer. The platform achieved this by connecting the businesses with any invoice buyers, globally, on a direct peer to peer system.
Populous provides a low cost, high speed, peer to peer contract utilized for performing independent funding, financially to collect and release payments globally. PPL utilizes a real-time database that has use of XBRL data to achieve access and assess any financial statements for invoice sellers.
Using a combination of data from both the XBRL and the Altman Z-Score formula PPT has been able to perform its own credit checks as opposed to utilizing a 3rd party credit check reference agency. Just this seems to have given them the technological advance over other competition.
The development team over at Populous have sat down and created the XBRL platform, called PXP. This is a Business Intelligence Data Analysis Platform. The PXP platform allows skilled researchers to offer their services. This results in the users being able to benefit from high quality research. This also enables business owners to complete reports for their own use within the system in order to be able to sell these reports. In turn this assists in recovery of some of their investments within the services as well.
Recently announced in the PPT Medium, PXP Simulation is now available. Read below for more on that.
PXP Simulation is now available! The PXP simulation allows you to have an idea of what conducting your business intelligence and research entails on the platform. View the simulation now to discover the smooth and easy to use interface, suitable for users of all skill levels from budding researchers to skilled analysts. When the research is completed, the researcher is rewarded with Populous XBRL tokens (PXT) which is the payment system used on the platform. The PXP simulation not only connects business owners and researchers, but is a platform that will strengthen the PXP community.
and just today Populous released their official and awaited whitepaper for PXT which will run PXP.
As always, its been a pleasure researching and writing for all of you fine Steemians, if you have a moment please check out my chart below.
