If I talk about bitcoin futures or professional traders trading Bitcoin options, all of the bitcoin options platforms have extremely low liquidity.
The reason that works is that there are only two or three types of futures so that you can bunch up the traders so that you can get reasonable liquidity.
With options, you are spreading the traders among many different products, so you don't get cash (and yes, this is a chicken-egg problem). I doubt any professional traders are trading Bitcoin options simply because there are no exchanges with good liquidity or regulations.
Eventually, they'll be here akin to futures which were non-existent a few years ago and now trade most of the volume. Add to that Bitcoin itself is volatile as much as an options market. One emerging options and futures exchange is debt.
