If the rumor turn out to be true and Amazon does begin to accept Bitcoin payments, then expect other major retailers to follow. Amazon is undeniably the 800 pound gorilla in the room and it would be very unwise for Amazon's competitors to not respond in kind. Another competitive advantage that Amazon could exercise is the distribution solutions it makes availability through the Merchandise by Amazon program. This program alone could open up a vast market for both buyer and sellers. I will personally be keeping an eye on future developments in this space. Thank you very much for an informative post.
