In the relatively short time that I've been involved in the Cryptocurrency scene I've been witness to a fascinating array of human emotions. Lies and deceit, egotism and immaturity and vast amounts of fear and greed. Much of this has been projected onto me from the nebulous world of YouTube and many of these character flaws were found lurking between my own ears.
That being said, it's been a valuable experience, albeit one sometimes bordering on obsession. I've never been a particularly materialistic person but I've become very hopeful about the future of Cryptocurrency and this has led me to Steemit.
I'm well aware of the criticisms and flaws of the platform, but given we're at such an early stage I remain hopeful that we'll see an interesting evolution in social media in the coming months and years. As for Bitcoin, well, that could huge. In my humble opinion all it would take is a small shift in the psychology of the the major players (Chinese miners, Core Devs') towards mutual benefit and away from pointless argument and Bitcoin can move to the next level. I know that might seem simplistic, but I feel that it remains a possibility. Anyhow.. that's enough from me for now.
