The lastest title from cryptocurrency guru Amit Bharadwaj has arrived. Titled “Cryptocurrency for Beginners”, the book aims to provide some basic insight, clarity and context into the world of cryptocurrencies.
Penning the third book in his cryptocurrency series, the former two being ‘Cryptocurrency trading for Beginners’ and ‘Cryptocurrency Mining for Beginners’, Bharadwaj , commenting on the book launch, said :
“Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are set to transform the world with their efficient solutions. However, the promise and power of cryptocurrencies remain to be unleashed meaningfully - as limited awareness across stakeholder categories, plays spoilsport.”
The bitcoin pioneer, who lists himself as an “Entreprenuer, Investor and Dreamer”, speaking on the aim of the book, said : “My book has a simple objective - making the readers realise that blockchain is just like the internet or a motorbike - one doesn’t need to know the underlying technology to use it. The book empowers readers with requisite knowledge of the concept of blockchain and helps them appreciate its massive potential,” he added.
What are bitcoins ?
Bitcoin is the world's first cryptocurrency that uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network.
Inspired by bitcoin, many cryptocurrencies, called altcoins, have surfaced over the years. Based on blockchain technology, bitcoin solved something called the 'double spending problem' and enabled secure transfer of value across the world in a matter of minutes.
As the number of bitcoins going to mined are finite in number, only 21 million, people like to call it “virtual gold.”
“Many people thought that I was going crazy when I started doing Bitcoin Mining back in 2014 by putting dedicated mining farms across many regions of the world”, says Bharadwaj.
Amit Bharadwaj is the founder of Amaze Mining and Research Limited, which started off as a bitcoin mining company, which today owns 5 percent hashing power of the Bitcoin network and runs CoinBank, which is among the few Bitcoin Wallets to offer interest on bitcoins, and also PayBitz, a bitcoin Payment processor.
The e-book is priced at Rs 1,499.
