Bitcoin is a digital currency, created and kept electronically. No one controls it. They cannot be printed like any other currency, It’s the first example of a growing category of money known as cryptocurrency.
Bitcoins are used for e-shopping.However, but the most important difference between bitcoins and conventional money is that it is decentralized. No single institution controls the bitcoin network.
Who created it?
It was developed by a software engineer Satoshi Nakamoto proposed bitcoin, which is based on mathematical proof. The idea was to produce a currency independent of any central authority and with a very secure and low transaction fees.
The bitcoin has a protocol and the rules that make bitcoin work, it says that only 21 million bitcoins can ever be created by miners not more than that and these are divided into smaller parts. The smallest unit of bitcoin is called a ‘Satoshi’ named to the creator of bitcoins.
What are its characteristics?
The most important features of bitcoins are follow :-
- Decentralized
The bitcoin network isn’t centralized network. Every machine that mines bitcoin and processes makes up as part of the network so that no harm is done any earning if the system goes down. - It's anonymous
Users can have more than one bitcoin addresses, and none of their accounts are linked to names, addresses, or other identification information. . - Transaction fees are miniscule
Any international transaction to any bank may charge you a £10 fee for international transfers. Bitcoin doesn’t. - It’s fast
The transfer of money is very transparent and fast. Money take no time in reaching from one place to another as long as the network is working.
