Woah, what a ride today! Bitcoin shot up past $17,000...
At one point Bitcoin was pushing $19,000 but I'm not sure if that was a glitch or not because immediately after that, Coinbase.com crashed. Now it's showing Bitcoin at just about $16,200 but it won't let me purchase any!
How high can Bitcoin go? What does this mean for Steemit?!
We live in exciting times my friends!!!

Hello John. It is indeed a wild ride! I started my crypto currency ride in earnest with my first Coinbase purchase of $500.00 worth of Bitcoin at any exchange rate of $ 8,271.14 on November 24, 2017. It is a little frustrating the limits they put on purchases. I have both Coinbase and Abra. Abra seems ok until you hit the $ 4,000.00 monthly limit. And, of course, you never know what price you will buy for until the transaction completes. In the long run, Coinbase seems to be the better way to purchase. Now trying to buy more by getting on to Bittrex or Kraken has proved to be more challenging. The sites either crash or don't come up, or don't verify my identity. If it can be said that one characteristic that is most valuable in Crypto, its patience. Patience. Patience. If a site is down, you might be getting ripped off, but not likely. Just wait for it to come back up. Well, that's been my experience in this short period of time. I wish I could have bought more Bitcoin at the $ 8,000.00 mark, but as soon as I bought that, things began to skyrocket.
