Everyone likes to think that bitcoin drives altcoins, but what if it's the other way around?
Right now bitcoin's dominance is 70% and rising.
During the period of 2016-2019 we saw the rise of altcoins.
Bitcoin's dominance went from 98% to 40%, and now back to 70%:

What if bitcoin is just mostly moving based on the money flowing in and out of altcoins?
It really isn't that simple of course, but that is part of it.
Money sloshing around between the two classes.
There is bitcoin, and there is everything else basically.
That heat map above actually looks like bitcoin might ready to seed some market cap to altcoins again.
