In this video, I sit down with The @DollarVigilante Jeff Berwick in Las Vegas, Nevada during Freedom Fest to talk about the future of the crypto-markets following the MASSIVE corrections we've seen recently.
As Jeff points out, these corrections were necessary and helped calm the markets. There were too many people rushing in and as with any market, it became over-valued and took a much needed breather.
Jeff breaks down exactly how he thinks this correction happened, what it means and how this will affect the markets in the future.
Jeff has some healthy skepticism surprisingly with the crypto-market, but of course has been on the forefront of trending cryptocurrencies since 2011.
Ethereum does not appear to be heading in the right direction as of recently which rightly concerns many.
Bitcoin can make an incredible climb/rally in the coming few years and STEEM has an incredible level of potential future demand thanks to the Steemit platform! While Bitcoin has scarcity and potential based on the ramped up future usage in commerce, STEEM has a great level of potential based on the amount of people due to flood the Steemit platform following the massive amount of censorship people face on a daily basis on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and of course YouTube.
Jeff also goes into "The Berwick Effect" where his forecasts often appear to cause corrections or rallies and how he best trends future events in the cryptocurrency markets.

Thanks for your posts! You got me very interested in EOS. I invested in Ethereum when it was only $10. I would love to get in on EOS, too. One thing is clear to me: the future is in decentralization.
I wonder what his thoughts are on EOS now that it is down about 15% from where it was a week ago when he was making it sound like he wanted to hurry up and get off the phone and go buy some. :-) He didn't say anything about it in this new rant video of his. He did use the "hedge" strategy someone who said to buy at higher levels would use though. He said >>> "things could get volatile here." So watch, no hint of what to do with the EOS you bought at 1.80+ last Fri or Sat. Then when it's at 1.25 he'll come back and say >>> "See I told you guys it was going lower in my plug posted on 7/26/17." I'll bet you a $50 lunch that actually happens :-)

Not only that, but not even 2 minutes into this spiel by Jeff he was trying to make it appear that he was telling people to sell their bitcoin at both highs. That's an outright lie by him. Notice how he said >>> "My preferred customers got my sell order on ETH up at $400." I guess for the rest of the world it was more or less just "Fuck you!!!" ...becuz he certainly wasn't posting any sell calls at Utube or here at steemit. I can prove that without ANy doubt. The guy is a huckster...plain and simple. He has no right to criticize anyone else that does the exact same thing he does.

Well, love the optimism here. But won't steemit be too saturated when millions of people start using it? I fear it might turn into a Facebook and people will stop making steemit dollars like they're doing now.
People will probably make less over time as they share the reward pool with more people however the value of the currency will probably increase.
Similar to bitcoin mining.
I think in the long term, high quality posts and comments will make a lot more money, while the average user not so much. The Steem platform has monetization opportunities through purchasing Steem/ Steem Power, ads and probably some other sources.

The great thing about Steem is that steemit creates a loyal following unlike any other alt coin. The value can only be in an upward direction.

I think it's likely to be FAR more valuable than that actually. Just based on the 7 year trend at the daily rate of growth, it should actually hit 250,000 by 2020. That's if it stays on the exact same course as it is today. :)
Yeah, Inded the future of steem and bitcoin is delighful . People are using these platform to generate some value. Steemit, especially has a great significance as it is social media platform on the blockchain. It is first of it's kind, so it has a great significance.
Bitcoin on the other hand is the first crypto with decentralized protocols and also the mother currency, so I guess they can rule the market with a few years.

Very interesting video. As being new to Steem still don't understand where the money coming from to pay everybody. Being active with crypto heard about Steem long time ago and always thought it is a hoax, but probably will change my mind after this video. Still got to learn it's all technicalities as too many questions arise... Can someone point some link that would make my day easier?

Nice post @joshsigurdson. I like this optimism around STEEM. Those who are worried about Steem's market saturation should know that Steem's inflation rate is going to decrease every year and eventually fall to 1 %. The number of Steem will be limited and the demand will be huge. That's how Steem will go. Have different thoughts? Share them in reply.

As for Steem, it is true that the more people use the platform, the more value it brings and eventually the rise in Steem value. We should not forget that the retention rate of Steemians is low. We should work towards promoting new comers and help them on the platform. Cheers!
