Mike Novogratz recently shared his thoughts for what he sees in the year to come...
Mike Novogratz hasn't been shy when talking Bitcoin and politics.
He recently made a list of predictions that he thinks will come true in the coming year.
The most interesting predictions to most would probably be that he thinks bitcoin will top $12k and he thinks Trump lose this next election by more than 10 million votes.
Well technically, he thinks bitcoin will FINISH next year over $12k.
The list of his predictions:
- Trump loses by more than 10 million votes
- Bitcoin finishes the year over $12k
- USA Wrestling wins 3 gold medals in Tokyo
- Tom Hanks wins Oscar for Mr. Rodgers
- Reform and it's partners shrink supervised population from 4.5 to 4 million

The most interesting prediction of them all?
The most interesting prediction has to be his call on Donald Trump.
Currently Trump's approval rating is pretty much right where Obama's and Clinton's were at this same point in their presidency, yet both got re-elected.
However, I won't be touching this topic with a 10 foot pole! :)
For that reason the most interesting topic has to be his $12k bitcoin call.
And again, that includes bitcoin being over $12k by the end of the year.
Which means it very likely peaks at a higher price at some point during the year.
He made a call earlier this year where he firmly believes that bitcoin will break $20k at some point in 2020, and I think he still believes that.
Which means....
In his view, we are going to see bitcoin touch/break $20k and we are also going to see it end the year over $12k.
I could get on board with both of those Bitcoin calls
They jive very much with the historical patterns surrounding halvings.

Just looking at the past two halvings, we could expect to see bitcoin break $20k within a few months of Bitcoin's halving, which is in May.
From there we would expect to see bitcoin peak roughly 18 months post halving, give or take 6 months.
Which means would would expect to see bitcoin make it's high somewhere between May of 2021 and May of 2022. Big range I know.
None of this is an exact science, unfortunately.
Anyways, glad to see continued bullish conviction from a guy that has a pretty good pulse on the bitcoin and crytpo markets.
Stay informed my friends.

IMHO, he'll be O for 2 in his predictions............as they say about opinions, we all have one
it would be a good thing
Which part?
Could be good see Bitcoin at $ 12k next year
Yep, higher lows all the way up.
it is about 7400$
Yep, inching up as we speak.
All cryptos drop in value during the thanksgiving and holiday seasons, as people cashout some of their holding for holiday gifts, etc. Then it begins to climb after the new year.

It's not quite that simple...
These are the returns from 2011-2018, though these are average returns and are skewed by outsized returns in any given year.
Thanks for this post.
