As everybody knows there is Crash on Cryptocurrency market and yes I understand that everybody is going crazy right now. I would probably also lost some value in this or maybe not #buythedip. But thats in not topic of this article.
Why is it Healthy?
In my opinion, there was too much attention for bitcoin and other cryptos. So much that it hurts them. Everybody was like buy bitcoin it is the only way. And media make it even worse people with little understanding of blockchain technology invested in Cryptos just because it was ''sexy''. Imagine you invested two days ago on behalf of recommendation from someone and you bought one BTC for 17 000$ and two days later you check your investment and you see this!!
I will probably sell BTC immediately and I will hate it for losing money.
From what I see cryptocurrencies are not prepared for mass adaptation. Mainly because of scalability issues they have (enormous transaction cost)

Reduction of Hype which was overwhelming is good for crypto. It gives them time to evolve and to catch up with market demands. It will maybe reduce ICO hype, some ICO's are amazing and full of potential, but there is no place for everybody and week projects must be ended. So this short-term pain might be a long-term advantage.

Every transactions is to fucking slow, so it's hard to invest theses days.
I think Bitcoin will become a "gold value" in a few years less and less day to day coin. Very interesting to play with bitcoin/bitcoin cash when I see big variation.
I would love to talk so much more about this topic with cryptofans.
