I think it's very difficult for an average user. I believe in Bitcoin and work daily with this topic, but the truth is that I do not like to pay with Bitcoins as a user because the experience is not yet very user friendly, it is a bit complex. And croe that is because this is very new. When the internet started, not everyone had emails. It was necessary for browsers to emerge, and other services for people to learn how to use the internet, to learn to interact with it. It is the same now: we are at the beginning, it will take time until more software and interfaces are developed, but it will happen.
As you mentioned it is very new. Therefore , it does need time to evolve and for it to be used on a mass scale. Nonetheless , still very exciting to be able to send money using bitcoin.
