Why does it have to be one or the other? To minimize your crypto risk, you should have a diversified portfolio knowledge. Recently I wrote an article about ''how to build your portfolio in crypto market'' in such a way that you minimize your downfall crypto risk while still exposing yourself to the upside potential of different coins.
Here are some steps from ''how to build your portfolio in crypto market'' :
Diversify across market cap: Depending on your crypto risk tolerance capability, you should have a certain % of your portfolio dedicated to large market capitalization like BTC, ETH, BCH etc. mid market capitalization like Nano, Wanchan, Doge etc and small market capitalization in this look around which coins whose under top 100 in coinmarketcap.
Diversify across industries: Different crypto-currencies have different uses and industries they’re targeting. The jury is still out on whether certain industries and cryptocurrencies will embrace blockchain technology. Hedge your bets by investing across different industries.
Double down on favored industries: That being said, do not be afraid to put capital across a few selected coins in an industry that you fundamentally believe will value crypto-currency. Most industries are extremely large and there is bound to be more than one coin that sees success.
In the midst of the volatile crypto market, BTC and ETH is the most established currency, so I would not suggest giving it up completely for other currencies. Assuming you do not want to make additional investments, a good strategy might be to book 40 to 50 percentage profits in BTC and diverting that amount to enter into other currencies.
I hop now you will feel relax about the future of bitcoin. Stay in market and look forward for boom and gain huge profit. Good Luck!!!
