Lately i wrote how Coblee (creator of LTC) left Coinbase to work on LTC.
Seems it was a wise move, today during BTC drops Coinbase went down - not first time in their history when theres fluctuations.
Now there is more good news for Litecoin.

Its one of top EU exchanges, which i personally like a lot.

Bitsquare is a decentralized exchange, we could say a competitor of our own Bitshares OpenLedger.. But competitor only technology wise, volume wise its low compared to OL.

People say - buy the rumor sell the news. Usually after adding to new exchange price initially dumps but you can never know with oldschooler like LTC. If you dont have a good position its suggested to play forex style with leverage on sites like BitMex or SimpleFX.

When I hear some news about some coin, I think... mmm I could profit with this. I just need to buy some of X coin and hold til X happens. I always end up doing nothing due to FUD... and then a couple weeks later my prediction comes true and I just kick myself nonstop. lol
Same when my holdings are hitting ATH... I consider trading some for fiat to later buy the dip, I never have the courage to do so... and the dip always comes!!!

I have a bank account in New Zealand, since I lived there almost 4 years and might be going back soon.
I´m not sure about NZ regulations but im pretty sure It is crypto paradise, please correct me if I am wrong :)

Take a very small weekly amount that you would blow else where. Take the money and send it to the exchange. Then buy a small stake every 2 weeks. It works and will get you into these coins slowly and steadily. Buy stakes in Lite coin first, then go to others. It works.

LiteCoin is a very stable cryptocurrency and we saw it today when it lost only 5%, while the others cryptocurrencys where losing 15/20%.

I work full time so don't want to get caught out. Have a sizeable amount in a 401K though and I am moving to a cash fund. Would rather sit on the sidelines as the fed raises rates.
I have not talked with these guys yet, but you might check into it. You could transfer an existing IRA or rollover a 401k (if it's from a former employer) into this bitcoin ira. I assume this is structured as a self-directed ira custodian to allow bitcoin investing. I use SDIRAs to invest in international real estate. They have much more freedom on possible investments.

LiteCoin is great, like bitcoin but better. I'm not sure why it doesn't have the same backing and trade volume.
It's at a good price nice and should benefit nicely on August 1st due to bitcoins UASF uncertainity. Buy and hold LTC
I agree with you. August 1st has too much uncertainty for Bitcoin...I'm gonna move my BTC into LTC and some other alts and let the dust settle on BTC.

Litecoin feels like it's a trusty old friend hidden away from all the abuse Bitcoin gets. It sit's there quietly and I think could have a good long term future.

When I heard that Coblee was going to leave coinbase, I was quite excited for the future of Litecoin. Now he can focus on developing the lightning network. Litecoin has been losing to the big boys ETH and BTC, but I think it has a bright future now that Coblee can devote his full attention to it.

Coinbase was my first wallet and i left wothin a week because it took ages to get verified and recieve funds. I know peopme who ise it and have a lot in the platform. I hope they get it fixed and running better

With the uncertainty with BTC, with the pending forks. I think LTC will benefit as a safe haven.
I was thinking the same thing. Markets usually don't like uncertainty. The pending forks are creating lots of divide and uncertainty.

Yeah coinbase is a piece of crap they always go down when the price drops. Obviously its intentional. They either purchased coins at a higher price are not willing to take the lost or they are just greedy and want all the cheap coins for themselves.
This is great news about LTC being added to the new exchanges, especially Bitstamp. I've been a fan of LTC for years. I use mine it with multiple GPU rigs back in the day. Today I still mine it with ASICs.

Yeah it was completely absurd. I get it, coinbase is a business and they need to play by the KYC/AML rules. Thats all good but I will refuse to comply and will disobey to the best of my ability.

I purchased from Innisilicon the A4 Dominator. Its not bad. I will make a setup video soon. But there are many vids on Youtube and Tutorials in Bitcointalk.org.
The other option is ebay. Most miners are over priced but you can occasionally find a good deal.
Oh yeah there is Bitmain but they are pre-orders and Bitmain is a bit of a jerk with his UAHF threat.

I've been meaning to buy LTC but cannot find a wallet that supports buys in Africa and specifically in Kenya.
Coinbase is still down!
I'd just go for BTC-e or HitBTC instead. Much more stable and less risk when price gets bumpy/a hack happens.

Maybe someone could reach out to BTC-e? They tend to be early adders of good/traded coins.
I'm not using it for the time being, but I'm guessing it might be possible to get Steem on there.
This is a good suggestion. Honestly going forward at some point we should think about decoupling the price of steem from that of Bitcoin some. Getting on a major exchange with fiat parings would help to do that.

considering adding LTC into 2 exchange will effectively increase it's market cap/share, by injecting new capital into LTC, (currently ranked 6th, at roughly $1.55bil). edging closer to ETC ($1.67bil) and XEM ($1.72bil). Move ranking up to 4th in no time.

Can LTC hit $50 before it gets put on bitstamp? I think so.
I have some high hopes for litecoin honestly. They successfully didn't have to do a hard fork in order to correct some issues on the blockchain which showed what bitcoin might be able to do to fix theirs without hard forking.
Adding it to two more exchanges is nice however I don't see a increase in price happening because of it due to the fact of how easy it is to get litecoin anywhere.
