Im sure Google will fix this soon but currently, someone is spreading malware through Adwords.
Electrum is IMO the best desktop wallet out there, its light, simple and gives you full control of keys (so you can redeem Bitcoin Cash and others easily).
With recent Bitcoin forks and Segwit Updated to Electrum many people seek for it, so do not be fooled, only https://electrum.org/#home is the right spot to download.
Electroneum is fork of Electrum for Bitcoin Cash - https://electroneum.com/
Remember to always verify checksums (if possible) of downloads and verify sources and urls. Loads of hackers are waiting to steal your coins.
Bitcoin Gold Fake Wallets
Almost no one knows how to redeem BTG right now (due to faulty code and stuff) so greedy people get on fake wallets/redeem services. Do not be one of them. Better to not sell on pump than lose all coins you have.
Bitcoin Markets
From those i personally use BitFinex, Bitstamp and HitBTC everyday.
Bitcoin Cash Markets
KRW exchanges are really loving this coin. Most of them have no trade fees - keep that in mind.
Bitcoin Gold Markets
Notice price differences HitBTC is the only exchange that allows deposits and withdrawals of BTG. Binance runs top price but you have BTG only if you had BTC there on time of fork. Same with BitFinex. So sometimes it is worth to have coins on exchanges during split chains.

Hello & Cheers!! I'm a content detection and information bot. You are receiving this reply because a short link or links have been detected in your post/comment. The purpose of this message is to inform your readers and yourself about the use of and dangers of short links.
To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign. But as with all useful tools there are dangers. Short links can be used to hide all sorts of things. Quite frequently they are used to hide referral links for instance. While not dangerous this can be deceptive. They can also be used to hide dangerous links such as links to phishing sites, sites loaded with malware, scam sites, etc. You should always be extremely cautious before clicking on one. If you don't know and trust the poster don't click. Even if you do you should still be cautious and wary of any site you are sent to. It's always better to visit the site directly and not through a short link.
To the author of the post: While short links may be useful on some sites they are not needed on steemit. You can use markdown to format your links such as this link to steemit. It's as simple as
[steemit](https://steemit.com)
Unlike short links this allows the reader to see where they are going by simply hovering over the link before they click on it.Thanks for this, I really appreciate this because these scammers out there never get tired of trying reaping where they didn't sow...
I'll be ever careful
Thanks for the heads up! I wasn’t aware about that desktop wallet, I’m definitely going to have to get it!
Thanks for looking out for everyone. As crypto currency grows, the amount of scams will continue to grow
Thanks
Excellent tips, especially this one:
"Remember to always verify checksums (if possible) of downloads and verify sources and urls."
I wasn't too interested in Bitcoin gold, i'll take a look once my wallet enables it I guess.
Steem On :)
Good post! Thank you! Now a lot of mice, unfortunately (

Though first move all your Bitcoins to a new address before playing with any new Forked coin/dividend if you don't have a HW. There should be some strict rules that we need to follow for safeguarding our main investment (Bitcoins) else we could get into some trap for peanuts.
Ledger Nano and Trezor just released their Bitcoin Gold claiming tool within their hardware wallets. This is the safest way to claim crypto dividends if you are OK loosing some over-hyped/spiked price when it is usually released.
Always have focus on the main investment than the crypto dividends.
Be careful community and invest safely. Let's make a better crypto space.
Thanks to @kingscrown for making the community aware. Cheers!!!

Goodness. I'm glad I never got started in Adwords then. I use AdSense and it seems to be safe. As for Bitcoins, I wish I had the insight back in 2009. Now it's probably too late for me.
No it is not too late. Go to coinbase and deposit $10.00 or $20.00 at a time then purchase bitcoin. You will be surprised how fast it can build if you buy a little each month. Bitcoin and the others have a very long bright future ahead.
Yep there's so many people taking advantage of your desire to make $$$. Search, Research and don't trust, RIGHT? nice topic sir. 😊
great to see your post
thanks for sharing
Thanks for the heads-up! Everyone is out here trying to make a quick buck. What wallet do you store your steem in?

Yes there is no easy way to claim your BTG if you had an electrum wallet at the time of its fork. Coinomi has a different BIP from electrum so you cannot claim BTG from there. Unless you run a full node, which is several hundred GBs of HD space.
