For the message bits.media this morning, finally there was something that the Bitcoin community expected more than two years - a confrontation around the scale can be considered complete, as almost 100% of miners voted for the activation of the proposals SegWit2X, which occurred on the unit 477120.

All miners who supported SegWit2X will reject blocks that do not support the original BIP141. Thus, activation SegWit will occur in accordance with the plan of Bitcoin Core.

Because BIP141 supported by all miners, it is now the activation is performed in the usual manner - through the achievement of 95% of the threshold capacity of the miners. In the current period of voting blocks is not enough, however, in the following, which will begin July 27 and will end on 9 or 10 Aug, activation will occur with almost 100% probability.

Now Bitcoin can move to the "bright future", but on the way another critical date is the date of activation of the second part of the new York agreement with the increase of the block to 2 MB. This should happen in late 2017 or early 2018.
