A few days ago, Swissquote, a large stock exchange based in Switzerland, launched the EUR - Bitcoin and USD - Bitcoin trading pairs. They partnered up with the digital currency exchange Bitstamp to make this happen.

What this will most certainly do,
is let more money, especially from non technical investors, flow into the crypto-space.
BUT what could also happen,
is that the space will get even more bubbly as more and more stock exchange platforms adopt those trading pairs. I am curious to see how the situation evolves.
How I imagine it,
the investors coming in from the stock-world, will have heard about bitcoin, but have likely no knowledge about what is behind it. They probably throw some money at it and hope to see it rise in value, like it did in the past.
Crazy time to publish the trading pairs, right before the BIP 48 debacle on august 1... This could catch some of those newbie-crypto-investors off guard
In general though i am happy to see that the doors to more investors are opened, and hope this will contribute to bitcoins growth.
Every adoption is a good adoption ;)
What are your thoughts?
I just opened an account on Swissquote. It's legit and I really like it.
Hey man, what's up? Did you give up on your challenge?
