Interesting fact- Although it seems like everywhere you turn there's more talk about Bitcoin and other digital assets, there are only 19 000 000 million cryptocurrency wallets in existence.
That means not even a quarter of one percent of the population(.0025%) own cryptocurrency. Most people that do hold crypto use multiple wallets so the numbers are even less.
Bitcoin hit its 9th birthday this year and I would say it was the year that BTC hit the mainstream. This is still in the very infant stages.
With the CME announcing futures contracts on BTC the financial investors are now looking to get in. Hello wall street money. I've been working on educating myself on futures contracts. It seems like this may not be a positive thing for BTC.
