WHAT IS BITCOIN?
Bitcoin is a worldwide cryptocurrency and digital payment system, called the first decentralized digital currency.
Developed by anonymous hacker named Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009.
Accounts are anonymous.
They are public key adresses without any personal information attached.
When someone wants to spend a Bitcoin, he uses a secret key associated with his account, simply enters the adress he wants to send the Bitcoins to.
The network verifies all transactions automatically.
WHY ARE BITCOINS SPECIAL?
The currency has a maximum circulation of just under 21 million coins ,reached in 2140, causing the value of each coin to increase over time.
Transactions are anonymous. You don't have to be registered in any net.
Is descentralized, no one government can regulate or control Bitcoin, so accounts can never be frozen.
And the best of all (for me) is..
Sending Bitcoin to someone is as simple as sending an email.
