I believe Bitfinex is about or have done the same! Given they both account for over 10% of exchange volume, we would probably see transactions finally go over the 15% mark soon. Mine is already activated for both Bitcoin and Litecoin!
Will this have a big impact on Bitcoin dominance? BTC is no doubt the leader and will atill be, but there are many big projects on the rise for 2018.
@marketingmonk this is really great news and really beneficial for coinbase users. The Segwit support for bitcoin is really improves the overall transaction capacity of the Bitcoin and also helps to reduce the transaction fees cost the customers pays for bitcoin transaction.

Good news for Bitcoin - it is evolving. Although it feels like it is doing so slowly, I am probably just impatient.
First Segwit for Coinbase, then batching and hopefully Lighting, Imagine a day when transferring into and out of most wallets are basically free.
