Have you folks read this?

I remember reading this when it was originally written.

One of my patrons posted this link in the private chat today which caused me to read it again since the author has updated it.

I'm interested in having a discussion about this and getting lots of different points of view.

So please comment away.

Article update provides interesting theory, obviously it is partially lean towards 'Conspiracy Theory', but strong argument with the analysis presented . Conspiracy Theories surrounding Crypto market has been emerging within community, and continuation of the Bear market. Although general consensus is market manipulation is played a major part of the trading since 2018 Summer, considering the fundamentals are NOW stronger than ever of this emerging technology.

I dont agree on the Cartel, to dump one needs to have at 1st place. I do agree the why, that is imho: spread the word to buy low btc&gold and hold.

Big money. Big temptations.

And we can beat them with our stable coins.... We have that advantage, that gold and silver doesn't

This is more reason why I think if there is a conspiracy, it's one to extract money from retail investors rather than retain control of the concept of money - the folks required to have such a global view on power and control are definitely sophisticated enough to understand that unlike gold and silver and soybeans and onions, cryptocurrency is not limited or governed by a physical supply of anything so long term it would be impossible to suppress it all.

Hmm..
Do we have a crypto protocol to end manipulation, suppression, and corruption yet?

Is the big Orange not playing nice?

It should be no surprise to anyone with 2 brain cells that those who stand to lose from a change in paradigm will take every effort to prevent that change...it’s not so much a matter of “if,” in fact it’s pretty clear, but rather how badly the rest of us get screwed in their unpredictable price actions...we know that deep pockets can set the algos off, but there’s no fucking way to predict which way they’re going to push it.

Agreed, they are overall suppressing, which is good...sell out and buy lower, but ultimately they just feed the system. By trying to kill it they participate in it and as long as there are actors in the space, Bitcoin and/or blockchain will continue to survive and thrive!

My thoughts a long time already, the only strategy can be sell high, buy low, but BUY when it's low and don't be frustrated and give up.
One day, my biggest hope is, THEY will lose control....
Have a great day
Tom

If the cartel only started doing this in 2017, why does the Bitcoin chart look so similar to the last bear market? I think this is just normal price movement, for a relatively young and volatile market. There will be a thousand different theories why price moves but its impossible to know the only one that's correct.

There are always forces behind these cycles that we cannot control. While I wouldn’t be surprised of a group behind this, I think other factors can very well explain the moves.

Awesome post cc. I was reading and it & initially i could not believe that you posted this. It was very entertaining, especially that i read it at 3AM in the morning. great post that makes ya wonder!

The article is fairly well put together. The author has some good references from actual exchanges reporting fishy behavior, but not much follow up. I tend to be quite skeptical of conspiracies that involve many actors as one like this would (too much coordination, too much chance an agent breaks silence), but it's not totally hair-brained if this isn't "their" first rodeo at price suppression.

One critique I'll make is that the author's point of view is in "real" vs "fake" money, but I suspect if there is a conspiracy it is not because the conspirators feel that way. One way to get participation in a conspiracy like that and reduce the risk of a participant breaking silence is for the conspirators to believe they're doing nothing wrong or something totally normal. "Taming" the asset with futures doesn't have to mean, "I'm a big banker and I'm threatened!", rather it could mean, "Here's a volatile asset that is ripe for me to make shitloads of money by manipulating". And big banks and their trade desk staff understand making shitloads of money from random assets (I got a loooong explanation and story of the junk bond market from a former junk bond trader friend/colleague... wild stuff).

So maybe he's right that there is a conspiracy, but if so I think it's a conspiracy to squeeze money out of the asset rather than anything high minded as is suggested.

I think you are on the mark. First and foremost, the institutions we know and (oh so) love never miss an opportunity to squeeze fees out of retail traders. The futures market is an easy way for retailers to bet on the price movements of the underlying. They don't actually want to own the underlying. I would also add that, by their very nature, paper markets/derivatives of finite and non-consumable assets will suppress the price. If the folks that genesis these things are aware of this is debatable and, if so, would be considered at best a bonus.

Great anay and I think that btc will increase and we will recover our lose..
