RE: What Happened to Dogecoin?

in #bitcoin9 years ago

I do not think that DOGE will raise in value any more on its own because it isn't reaching as many new people as before. And STEEM is proving that to have a stable Altcoin, you have to be able to constantly reach new people, which wasn't a new idea, but STEEM is proving it.

So, what you could possibly do is something like this... Create a new coin, or pay someone some DOGE coins to create a coin for you. Call it DOGE2, maybe D2 for short. Then create some new take on the mascot, maybe D2 could have robot themed dogs or something with like an R2D2 version of the original doge as the Mascot. Just something to give it something new for people to think of when they make memes. That's just something rabndom that came to mind with the D2 as the short for DOGE2.

Then you have to do what STEEM is proving you have to do. Make it easy for people who don't mine your coin to get your coin. Maybe 20% goes to people who mine each block, and 80% goes to people who go to a meme website that you create, and they use your site to create DOGE memes, and get paid for every DOGE meme they create, and they get paid for views, and that is divied up into some form of shares scrypt where each person gets X shares for X views or X shares for X memes. Then maybe even a faucet feature where like up to 20% of the 80%goes to people who just go to the faucet one a week and click a button to prove that they are still active with D2.

This would do 2 things. Promote DOGE coin, and make a Coin that is tradeable against DOGE coin. This would bring DOGE back into the attention of traders and investors, and they would start buying the coins. So then your coin would bring in new people, and eventually that would raise the price of DOGE coin, and then you would have a coin with some value also. Because as your coin rose, DOGE would rise.
