Back in 2015 when I got into cryptocurrency, the talk of the day was the unity of the community backing crypto; Bitcoin wasn't the light at the end of the tunnel, but the light that was illuminating the entire tunnel. Then, I started to hear about the debate about splitting the Bitcoin chain; on one side we had the people that wanted to increase the block size on Bitcoin to avoid network blockage and help it escalate. On the other side, we had the people that wanted to keep Bitcoin with the actual block size, giving the miners the authority to run the network at their convenience until a second layer solution called Segwit was finished.

It was about July of 2016 when the split of Bitcoin or fork was announced (at least this is when I heard about it). Everbody rushed to buy Bitcoin so we all could get the 1 to 1 promised ratio of the second Bitcoin called BitcoinCash... the rest is a sad and painful history that Bitcoin as a concept had to go through.

From those days and on, BlockStrean came to own the cryptocurrency coin that the world knew as Bitcoin.
By a huge disagreement between developers and miners in a meeting happened in New York, Segwit never happened and a new layer solution to help Bitcoin escalate called Lightning Network was born.

Very soon, Banks, governments, financial institutions got very interested in taking Bitcoin into a "potential mass adoption" that was going to help the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem.
It was about this time when Roger Ver became open to his support to BitcoinCash (BCH).
Vere, Jeff Berwick (aka The Dollar Vigilante), Omar Bam (aka, Crypt0) and many other people , including me,declared that "BITCOIN CASH WAS THE REAL BITCOIN", and that the Bitcoin we knew was being infiltrated by the powerful elite with only one purpose; TO DESTROY ALL THE CRYPTOCURRENCY ECOSYSTEM.

The Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin was soon declared by BlockStrean as a STORE of VALUE coin, leaving behind its original purpose of becoming digital cash to the ENTIRE WORLD.
The new Bitcoin possessors declared that Bitcoin was not for the people earning less than two dollars a day and that it was not a cryptocurrency to buy coffee.

The powerful financial elite started to talk about creating ETF (Exchange Trust Funds) for it and soon we heard and saw billions of dollars pouring into the cryptocurrency market thanks to those institutions. It all looked great, we were all making tons of money until... we all found out that this was all a mini version of the Internet Bubble happened in the 1990's.

Dan Larimer said in one of his interviews that the technology that moves the entire world of cryptocurrencies is "proof of good will, proof of heart; a good intention based technology that is supposed to free the humankind from the oppression imposed by governments and money institutions"

I don't know if Jeff Berwick or if Omar Bam ever changed their point of view about BitcoinCash being the REAL BITCOIN, I know Roger Ver and I never did.
You can go into every single one of my posts and find that I never changed my mind about it. To be honest, I think Roger can be less repetitive at times but his passion for delivering the truth about BlockStream, Bitcoin, and BitcoinCash is impressive.

I just finished watching a video about Bitcoin posted by @heiditravels titled: "How Bitcoin Can FAIL." The feeling of melancholy invaded me for the simple reason that this can all be true. the dream of having an independent cryptocurrency form of payment free of bankers, money institutions and governments seems to fade at times, or is it?

I will only ask you to watch these two videos in which Roger debates Samson Mow, CSO of BlockStream and see if you can understand the title of my post.

I don't know how the Crypto-Community that I started talking about at the beginning of my post will react to this ugly and bitter truth.
"BECAUSE OF BLOCKSTREAM, THE ADOPTION OF CRYPTO AROUND THE WORLD GOT DELAYED BY SEVERAL YEARS. AS A RESULT, BABIES AND PEOPLE ARE DYING OF HUNGER, IN A COMPLETE POVERTY DUE TO THE NEW PHILOSOPHY OF THE NEW BLOCKSTREAM BITCOIN, THAT IS, BITCOIN IS NOT FOR PEOPLE MAKING LESS THAN $2 DOLLARS A DAY, NOT TO BUY COFFEE WITH AND THAT BITCOIN BECAME JUST A STORE OF VALUE COIN.
BITCOINCASH CHANGES ALL OF THAT, BITCOINCASH IS FOR EVERYBODY REGARDLESS OF INCOME, NATIONALITY, AND BELIEFS" -ROGER VER. And a follow-up video posted by @rogerkver (I'm not sure if this is the real Roger Ver)

If what Daniel Larimer is right about the base of this technology, then @heiditravels is on to something and I will have more reasons to keep saying:
