.Padma Bridge’s pillar problems have been solved. The design of 22 of the 40 pillars in the river has been changed. Engineers involved in the construction work say they are no longer in any tension. Project experts say that work on the bridge will be completed by 2019.

Engineers said they were having trouble with the design of 14 pillars and the piling work of eight. In all, 22 pillars have been redesigned.
