Hi Steemit Community:
It's with great joy that my dog Finch (aka MoonDog) and I write our first Steemit post together and begin sharing our crypto journey to the moon and beyond. This includes the tale of scruff (not me) buying $6,500 worth of Bitcoin at the tippy top peak of 19K -- Moonwife was none too pleased! More on that in future posts. Anyways, Ol' scruff and I have learned quite a few lessons along the way and quite a few insights that will be helpful for the baby cryptos just crawling into the market, among those core lessons, here are a few:
- Cryptocurrencies are not magic internet money backed by nothing; in a nutshell, cryptos run decentralized communities that rewards participants with tokens that keep the whole system running without a central authority!
- Hardware wallets are a must -- get your money off the exchanges.
- EOS is "THE ONE" in 2018 -- mark my meaningless words! In all seriousness, Brock Pierce and the Block One Team, along with Dan Larimer, are onto something very very special that's got a real shot at eating Ethereum's lunch. But on a positive note, I think there's room for the two to coexist and have tremendous valuations by the year's end.

- Andreas Antonopolous is the real Bitcoin jesus
- HODL when the times get rough and never waiver! The crypto game does not favor weak hands.
